Kemer Boat Trip or Suluada? How to Choose the Right Day at Sea
Stay in Kemer for more than a day and someone will hand you a boat-trip leaflet. The real decision, though, is not whether to go on a boat but which one: a trip straight out of Kemer harbour, or the longer day to Suluada, the white-sand island people call Turkey’s Maldives. Both are good days out. They are just very different ones.
The Kemer boat trip
Convenience is the big win. Boats leave from Kemer harbour, usually a short ride from your hotel, and cruise to bays around the ancient city of Phaselis, Paradise Bay and the Three Islands. The water is deep and very clear, the shores mostly pebble and rock. Some boats lean into music and foam parties, which children and groups of friends love. Days tend to be shorter and prices lower.

The Suluada trip
Suluada asks for a little more effort. Our boat leaves from Adrasan, roughly an hour’s drive beyond Kemer. What you get in return is something the Antalya coast rarely offers: fine white sand and water that stays shallow and turquoise far from the shore. There are no buildings on the island, the mood is quieter, and the day includes four swim stops and lunch cooked on board.
Which one should you pick?
- Kemer trip if you want a lie-in, a lively deck with music, or only half a day on the water.
- Suluada if you are after that turquoise-lagoon look, have small children who need shallow water, or want the photo of the holiday.
Or do both
On a week-long holiday you do not have to choose. Many guests do a short Kemer trip early on and save Suluada for a calm day later in the week. Before you go, our packing list is worth a look.
Getting to Suluada from Kemer
Return transfers from Kemer hotels are included in the price, with pickup around 09:00 – a later start than guests in Belek or Lara get. See Suluada tour from Kemer for details and the Suluada boat tour page for prices. Prefer the island without the crowd? Ask about a private boat.
