No road leads down to Porto Ceneviz. There is no café, no sunbed and no car park; the only way in is by boat, between limestone walls that narrow as you enter. Our Porto Ceneviz boat tour leaves Adrasan in the morning and combines this inlet with two of the calmest swimming spots on the coast.
The Porto Ceneviz tour from Adrasan visits quiet bays along the Lycian coast that are reached by sea alone, since no road comes down to them.

Why the water is so calm
Genoese sailors once used the inlet as a shelter, which is where the name comes from. Closed on three sides, the bay often stays glassy even when the open sea is choppy. Snorkellers head for the rock walls, where small fish keep to the shade.
Three places to swim
Porto Ceneviz
The main stop: a deep cove ringed by cliffs, with time to swim and to photograph it from the deck.
Sazak Bay
A quiet pebble bay with clear, shallow water near the shore. Water shoes make it much more comfortable.
Akseki Bay
Turquoise water over a pale seabed – an easy, relaxed afternoon swim.
The captain decides the order each morning according to wind and waves, so every stop is made in the most sheltered water available.
Packing tips
Bring swimwear, a towel, sun cream and a hat; the boat has shaded seating. Carry some euros or Turkish lira, because drinks from the bar are paid separately.

Porto Ceneviz or Suluada?
On a first visit, most people start with the Suluada boat tour for its white beach. If you prefer high cliffs and fewer boats, or you have already seen the island, Porto Ceneviz makes an excellent second day from Adrasan.
