10 Things to Do in Adrasan: From Boat Trips to the Lighthouse Hike

Most people come to Adrasan for Suluada, but stay a few days and the bay has a lot more to offer. From the sea to the mountains, ancient cities to rocks that never stop burning, here are ten good ways to spend your time.

On the water

1. The Suluada boat trip. White sand, turquoise water and a day of swimming from bay to bay. See our guide to the stops.

2. Porto Ceneviz. A bay hidden between high cliffs with no road access – you can only get there by boat. More on our Porto Ceneviz boat tour page.

3. Snorkelling and diving. Rocky shores and clear water reward even a simple mask, and local operators offer scuba dives.

4. Kayak or SUP. Early in the morning the bay is glassy – paddling along the shore is about as peaceful as it gets.

On land

5. Hike to Gelidonya Lighthouse. One of the most scenic stretches of the Lycian Way. The route from the lighthouse to Adrasan is about 16 km with plenty of ups and downs – carry lots of water and avoid the midday heat.

6. A short Lycian Way section. Even a few hours between villages shows you a different side of this coast.

7. Olympos ancient city. Ruins scattered among trees along a stream. There is an entry fee; the Museum Pass is valid.

8. The Chimaera (Yanartaş). Natural gas flames flickering out of the rock – best seen after dark.

9. Sazak Bay. A quiet cove reached by a dirt track through pine forest, for when you want to escape the crowds.

10. Sunset on Adrasan beach. A walk along the sand and fresh fish for dinner.

How long to stay

Two or three days are enough to do most of this list without rushing: one day on the water, one for hiking and ruins. For choosing a base, read where to stay in Adrasan.
